Steven Michael Hopp 57 of Wonder Lake passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 14, 2023 at Northwestern McHenry Hospital. Steven was born August 12, 1965 in Waukegan, IL  to Robert and Joyce (Weinke) Hopp and grew up in Johnsburg, IL .

He retired from 30 years of employment at the McHenry Township Road District and finished his career at Pinnacle Steel Construction as a welder. Steve loved the outdoors enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, off road side by side and snowmobiling. Steve also love to travel, enjoyed heading west to the mountains or heading south to the salt water fishing in Florida.

Steve is survived by his wife of 32 years, his two sons Steven ( Sophia Brown) and James (Fiance Alexa Duenas) and grand baby Charlotte Hopp, beloved parents Robert and Joyce Hopp, brothers Robert Jr. (Neva Colburg )Hopp, David (Natalie) Hopp, Nieces and Nephews , Robert Jr II, (Rachel) Hopp, Daniel (Lauren) Hopp, Nicholas Hopp, Alexandria Hopp, Daniella Hopp, Angela (Javier) Guzar, Micheal (Jackie) Malecki, Natalie (David) Hopp,  great nieces Brook Hopp, Sidney Hopp, and  Skylar Hopp.

Steven was proceeded in death by mother and father in-law Dolores and James Bown and sister in laws Jacqueline Williams and Diane Malecki.

Celebration of Life will be held for Steven, Sunday June 25, 2023 from 2pm to 6pm at our home 5803 McCullom Lake Road, Wonder Lake, IL .
