Robert “OH BOB” Pettinger, Sr was called home on Sunday, November 29, 2020.  He was born on September 9, 1936 to Matthew and Caroline Pettinger.  He was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Richard Pettinger and Granddaughter Haley Lichter. OH BOB is survived by the love of his life Pat of 48 years. His wonderful children Robert (Diana) Pettinger and Karen (Dennis) Lichter; beloved Grandsons Jacob and Joshua Lichter. He was the oldest of four siblings. Mary Pettinger, Bernie (Geri) Pettinger and Rita Jackson and many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews

OH BOB joined the Air Force from May 24, 1955 to November 28, 1967.  Where he was an Inflight refueling specialist.

After the Air Force, OH BOB went to work for Underwriters Laboratories for 21 years.

Through the years, OH BOB spent time with family camping at Jellystone, in Caledonia, WI.  He found many dear friends that became family. He brought the fun to all the gatherings with his love for polka dancing, grilling and enjoying an Old Style.  OHBOB did adventure out west to Mesa Regal, in Mesa AZ and that friends list just grew.

Once his travels stopped, he then found the love of his Grandson’s playing sports.  He could be seen cheering on the Lake County Stallions on any given Sunday!!

OH BOB loved to watch his favorite Chicago teams; especially his beloved Cubs. OH BOB was always wearing a Cubs hat.

OH BOB enjoyed being around a campfire just relaxing, listening to Country Music and an Old Style in hand.

A “Celebration of Life” in true OH BOB fashion will be held at a later date.
