Pamela (Pam) Lynn Kohl 60, of Gurnee, IL, formerly of Libertyville, IL passed away peacefully with her friend Cathy by her side on September 7, 2023 at the Hillcrest Retirement Village in Round Lake Beach, IL. Pam was born on October 8, 1962 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville to Kenneth R. Kohl and Shirley M. (nee Westphal).

She graduated from Libertyville High School in 1981. Following graduation, she worked with her father at their family business. While inLibertyville, she enjoyed singing in the choir with her mother at Grace Lutheran Church and while in high school she sang in the school choir.

Years after her father and brother’s passing in a car accident Pam and her mother moved to Markesan, WI. While in Markesan she worked a few factory jobs part-time and enjoyed fishing. After moving back to Grayslake in 2008 she and her mother lived with some friends until the time of her mother’s passing.

Pam enjoyed being with friends and she loved angels. She now has joined a host of angels and is free of pain from her cancer.

Pam was like an aunt to many, but her favorites were her friend Cathy’s children: Corie, Michael, Christopher and Caitlyn.

Pam is survived by her brother Ron (Linda) Kohl, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and her best friend (like a sister) Cathy Daniel.
She is preceded in death by her father, brother Bruce, and mother.

In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated in Pam’s name to the American Cancer Society or any animal rescue of your choice.

Pam’s celebration of life will be held on her 61st birthday from 1-4 pm with a 3:30 pm service officiated by Rev. Patti Pipia on October 8, 2023 at Northern Illinois Funeral Services, Inc:
