Norma Louise Bock, aged 75, passed away in her home in Barrington, IL on July 28, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Blythesville, Arkansas to John and Naomi (Freeman) Carson.

Norma began her career as a cosmetologist at Osco Drug in 1965 and, after earning her bachelor’s degree, achieved her dream of becoming a schoolteacher in 1985. She went on to earn two master’s degrees, before retiring to travel extensively, experiencing the cultures and peoples around the world.

Norma married Edward Bock in 1966, and they recently celebrated their 57^th wedding anniversary.

Norma is survived by Edward, son Phillip (Astrid) Bock, son Matthew (Shannon) Bock, and her mother Naomi Hewitt. Her grandchildren include Sarah, Natalie, Samantha, Henry, and Simon.

Norma was preceded in death by her father, John Carson, her stepfather Raymond Hewitt, her sister Sharon Carson, her brother Gordon Carson, and her sister Gina Magolski.
