Miriam C. Neel (nee Grech) 82, of Lake Villa passed away peacefully February 24, 2021 at Crystal Pines Nursing and Rehab in Crystal Lake, Il. Born in Malta came to the U.S. at the age of 18 with her family. She married James Neel in 1963. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting sweaters and Afghans for her family and friends. She was very devoted to Our Blessed Mother. Her kind loving and generous nature will be missed.

Miriam is survived by her loving daughter; Gloria (GR III) Zechman, son; Erik Neel, beloved grandchildren; Christopher Zechman, Gregory Popp, Michael, Alexe, Louis, Mary Zechman, Abby and Andrew Neel, Joseph and Annamaria Zechman, fond great grandchildren; Jason and Lucy Zechman, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday March 6, 2021 from 11:00 am until time of service at 12pm at Northern Illinois Funeral Services, Inc 31632 N. Ellis Dr. Unit 209 Volo, Il 60073.
Interment will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Volo.
