Lacey Doar Girouard, 42, of Chapel Hill, NC went to be with our lord and savior September 25, 2023 after a courageous battle throughout her life. Lacey was born to Cindy Greene Riggan and Pelzer Owen Doar III.

She is survived by her son, Dustin Owen Girouard, 15, of Waco, Texas. Also survived by her sister April Doar Ruhl and brother Taylor Owen Doar both of Mebane, NC.

She cherished her son and was so proud of him. Lacey was a member of Orange United Methodist Church and listened often to services from her bed in Illinois. Lacey was a certified nursing assistant as well as a Veterinary Technician.. She was an avid animal lover and found great joy in her bulldogs and horses.

Memorial services will be held 1pm-4pm November 18, 2023 at OUMC in Chapel Hill, NC. In lieu of flowers , donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
