JoAnne Brown, Age 86, most recently of Elgin, IL (formerly Perryville, AR), passed away February 16, 2021 with her daughter by her side. She was born December 19, 1934 to John & Hazel Moody in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jo Anne attended high school in Perryville, AR before marrying her spouse Franklin Dee Brown in 1952. Jo Anne received her Associates Degree in Nursing at New Mexico Junior College.
Jo Anne is survived by 3 children – Kenneth Dee (Vicki Otts) Brown, Ernest Lee (Karen Mosher) Brown and Peggy A (James) Buck. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, 1 sister and 2 brothers and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Franklin Dee Brown, parents, brothers Arnold and Roy Moody, niece Elizabeth (Beth) Moody.
Jo Anne along with her family were long-time residents of Jal, NM where she worked as a Registered Nurse for several years as director of nurses before moving and working in Shamrock, TX. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Jo Anne attended Houston and Perryville, AR Assembly of God churches before moving to Elgin, IL to be near her daughter.
Visitation will be held on February 27th at 1:00 PM at Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton, AR. The funeral will follow immediately at 2:00 PM, also at Harris Funeral Home.
