Jeanne Marie LaMotte 68, of Barrington passed away peacefully June 3, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Hammond, Indiana on January 8, 1953 to George and Adele (Davis) Mitchell. Jeanne was a beautiful soul who dedicated her life to worshipping and serving the Lord. She was known for her incredible voice and loved sharing her music in honor of her faith. Her natural beauty and talent won her Miss Nacogdoches and she sang with renowned gospel singers. She loved singing, playing the guitar, and she wrote a gospel album and she loved colors and she was an interior decorator for many years.”Don’t Mess with the Pretty”

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Duane LaMotte, son; Gavin Owens, sisters; Kathy (Ron) Kotecki, Janet Volk, Maureen Almond, brother; Rob (Twili) Mitchell, 5 step children; Jason LaMotte (Claudia Penagos), Kendra (Steven) DePalma, Zachary LaMotte (Leanne Betancourt); Jordan (Nicole) LaMotte; Portia LaMotte (Eric Lowery).

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother in laws; Tom Volk and Robert Almond.

A Celebration of Jeanne’s Life will be held Sunday June 13, 2021 from 1pm to 4pm with a Service at 3pm at Northern Illinois Funeral Services, Inc with Rev. Rob Mitchell officiating.

Burial will be private
