Janet Darlene Hyder was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a friend to many.  She left this world too soon at the age of 83 on July 26^th at Journey Care.

Born to Nicholas and Cecelia Panzica on September 15^th, 1939.  Janet pursued her dreams of becoming a nurse. She graduated from Rush and was a devoted nurse for over 60 years.

Janet is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie 0. Hyder, her parents, her 2 brothers and a son that died at childbirth.  She is survived by her two sons Douglas (Meredith) from Gainesville Florida and Keith (Pam) from Harvard Illinois, her 5 grandchildren that she cherished greatly; Jeffery, Tommy, Britney, Jimmie and Stevie.  Her sister Cecilia and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of her life will be held later this month.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Dr. Piotr Witkowski at the University of Chicago Hospital for their research in islet cell transplants.

We will always keep her memory in our hearts.
