George Robert Bartlett IV, age 74, of Gurnee, Illinois succumbed to the complications of Parkinson’s disease at the comfort of Sunrise Gurnee on November 10, 2019.
George is survived by his sister, Cornelia and her husband Bob, daughters Beverly, son Robert and his wife Teresa, four loving grandchildren Virginia, George VI, and many loving friends and extended family. George was a loving father, grandfather, and generous to everyone.
George loved sports, especially basketball, where his favorite team was the Jordan era Chicago Bulls. He worked as a high school teacher and coach for 34 years. As a young man, he spent his free time teaching adults to drive. He also enjoyed working on cars. George was a very generous provider, always there to help family and friends. He loved animals, especially dogs.
A special thank you to the people at Sunrise Gurnee and Kindred Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days.
