A Celebration of Life service will be held on October 19, 2019. Visitation will be from 2 till 3 followed by the service at 3 p.m. It will be held at Spirit of Life Church, 1222 Lorelei Drive, Zion, IL 60099 with Pastor Phyllis Miller officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Northern Illinois Funeral Services, Inc., 31632 Ellis Drive, Unit 209, Volo, IL 60073 – Cathy Ann Daniel, President.
In lieu of flowers, remembrance donations may be made to the family. .

Gross Jr., Earl Gail, 37, of North Chicago, stepped from this life into the presence of the Lord on October 11, 2019. Earl was born on January 21, 1982 in Waukegan, IL, the son of Carla Jo Gross (nee Grubbs) and Earl G. Gross, Sr. He spent his early life in Waukegan and had lived in North Chicago, IL since 1996. Affectionately known as “Champ”, Earl was a 2000 graduate of Christian Life Academy in Kenosha, WI. His vocational interests were the restaurant business and the culinary arts. He worked at MLG in Lake Forest for many years. He was a superb cook. Earl leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Adeline Kenzie Gross of Grayslake, IL, dear sister Etain (John) Bruss of Salem, WI, his niece Erin Wiesemann of Winthrop Harbor Il, his nephew John Wiesemann of Waukegan Il, his loving aunts Glenna M. Miller of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Virginia Grubbs of Gurnee, IL, Erma Evans of Crandon, WI, dear uncles, Hiram Haney (Dolly), of Neenah, WI, Joseph Quenton (Bernice) Gross of Crandon, WI, cousin Georgia Hoenig (Steve) of Beach Park, IL
Earl was like a big brother and very close to his cousins Angela and Daniel Ray and will be greatly missed by them as well as too many other loving relatives and friends to list. He was blessed by having an abundance of friends that loved him including his very close friends Robert Treffert and Katrina Donnenwirth.
Earl was a great, fun loving guy. He had the smile and personality that would bring happiness to all around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by paternal grandparents Grace and Bert Haney, maternal grandparents Bessie and Allen Grubbs, aunts Nona Sears, Joy Davidson, Florence Brown, Mary Norvell, uncles George Gross, Thomas Gross, Charles Grubbs, William Grubbs, Phil Grubbs and Custer Ray Grubbs.
