Doris Ann Leedy from Beach Park, Illinois passed away at Advocate Condell Hospital

on December 29, 2021. She was born on October 14, 1938 to Mr. and Mrs.  Leedy

of Tazewell, Tennessee. She was proceeded in death by her parents E.H. “Hill”

Leedy and Mattie Pope Leedy, brothers, Wayne “Bud” Leedy, Lee Williams, sisters, Della

Mae Mullins and Gladys Davis, brothers-in-law Junior Mullins and Joe Davis, and nephew David Davis.

Doris is survived by her nieces and nephews, Gary Joe Davis and Robin & Sam Duncan, of Tazewell, Tennessee, Steve & Diana Mullins & Becky Mullins of Morristown, Tennessee, and Dixie & Jeff Green and Randy Williams of Monroe, Michigan.

She is also survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, her foster granddaughter, Christine Brown, and several generations of people who knew her as their beloved “Granny.” Doris is also survived by many other friends, both in Illinois and Tennessee, who loved her dearly.

Doris was a devoted Christian. Her love for Jesus and her church was well-known by all who knew her. She was a member of Spirit of Life church from the beginning and served on the board for most of her life. She was a prophetess and was anointed to speak God’s messages. We will miss her but rejoice that she has a new body and is with the Lord.

Visitation will be Thursday January 6, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm at Spirit of Life Church 1222 Lorelei Drive, Zion, IL 60099. There will be a service at 6pm and after her service Doris will be going back to her hometown in Tazewell, TN for burial.
