Clifford W. Hulburt, of McHenry passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 in his home. Cliff was born on April 11, 1951 in Flint MI to Grover and Pauline (Romig) Hulburt. He was one of 7 children. Cliff and Terry (Allen) were married on May 29, 1971. They just celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife Terry, son Jeremiah, Brooklyn NY, daughter Megan (Andy) Visconi and two grandsons, Dominic and Alexander all of McHenry. He also is survived by his mother Pauline of Cass City MI. He leaves a sister Linda (Danny) Brelinski, sister-in-law Joanne Hulburt, brother Richard Hulburt and sister Paula (Bruce) Gardner, his brother-in-law Thomas (Elsa) Allen Carmel, NY and many, many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father Grover, his sister Ruth Ann Benevidez and brothers Kenneth and Gene Hulburt.
Before his retirement he was employed by CN railroad as a diesel electrician. Cliff enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, woodworking. He always worked hard to care for his family. He loved working crosswords and sudoku puzzles. He loved to read, especially history, about the settling of the west. He had a great sense of humor. Cliff was always a faithful man of God and active in his church. He was a wonderful husband and father.
Services for Cliff will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, 9:00 -11:00 at Northern Illinois Funeral Services, Volo, Illinois 60073.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to St. Jude Hospital.
