ANNA KAYE LANDERS – Crystal Lake, IL

Anna K. Landers, 74 passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021 surrounded by her family after a brief illness in Barrington Illinois.

Mrs. Landers was born in Tryon, North Carolina in 1946 to Pinckney C and Mary (Smith) Lancaster.  She graduated from Landrum High School and later Cecil’s Business College.  She married her high school sweetheart, Doug Landers in 1965.  They settled in Landrum SC where they raised their family and resided for many years.

Anna was a vibrant member of the Landrum community.  She was a long time member of the Landrum United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir and served as church youth leader.

Family was very important in her life.  She supported and followed her children’s activities closely.  She devoted much of her time to her children in sports, instilling the value of never quitting.

Her husband Gilbert D. Landers preceded Mrs. Landers in death.  She is survived by her two children and four grandchildren:  Amanda Doherty (Michael), Alan Landers (Laurie), Ethan Landers, Hannah Landers, Erin Doherty and Sara Doherty.

Due to Covid no arrangements are announced at this time.  A celebration of Anna’s life will be planned for a later date in her hometown of Landrum.  Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg County Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
