Ann Marie Reget, 57, passed away in her home in Wilmette, IL on December 13, 2020 following an 8-month battle with cancer. She passed peacefully with her daughter and sister by her side.

Ann was the loving daughter of Bernard Reget and Martha Reget (née St. Clair). Ann graduated from Palatine High School in 1981. She went on to pursue her dream of helping people by becoming an audiologist. She was diligent in her studies and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Disorders from William Paterson College and a Masters of Arts in Audiology from Northwestern University. Ann held a variety of roles working in private practice, the hospital setting, various long-term care facilities, as well as owning her own practice. She found her career very rewarding as she assisted many who were deaf or hard of hearing.  Ten years into her career, Ann went on to pursue a Doctorate of Audiology. She was an integral part of the Chicago community of audiologists and served on the Illinois Academy of Audiology as a board member from 2012-2014, and again in 2019-2020. More than her professional success, she will be remembered as a loving mother, a supportive sister, the best grandma to her two grandsons, and a caring friend. Ann was a music lover, an excellent cook, and a creative, kind, and deeply spiritual person. Her hobbies included hiking, biking, crocheting baby blankets, and enjoying time with her gorgeous kitties.

Ann is survived by her daughter Grace (Justin) Reeder, sister Christine Nader, brother Jerry (Melinda) Reget, sister Cathleen Bimmerle, brother Michael Reget, and her grandchildren Jackson Reeder and Miles Reeder. She will be dearly missed by her aunts, uncles, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ann is preceded in death by her father, Bernard Reget, her mother, Martha Reget, and her sister, Bernadine Reget.

At Ann’s request, she will be laid to rest near her daughter’s home in Northwest Indiana. An in-person Celebration of Life Remembrance and Graveside Service will be held for close family members on Monday, December 21 at 10:30am (CST) at:
